And could you blame them? No, you couldn’t, because the team was coming off two blowout losses that were accompanied by off-field drama. A decisive win over the Buffalo Bills now has Eagles fans feeling significantly better. This is what a jump from 7% fan confidence to 54% fan confidence looks like:54% fan confidence ranks 16th among all teams. That seems appropriate for this 4-4 Eagles teams. Beating the Bills doesn’t magically fix all the issues this team had on display in their blowout losses to the Minnesota Vikings and Dallas Cowboys. But it’s hardly like all hope is lost for the Eagles. Looking at the rest of their schedule, the path to 10-6 and an NFC East title is there for the taking. If the Eagles are going to really make a run at the playoffs, they’ll need to beat the Chicago Bears this weekend. Sunday’s game might be more important than you realize in terms of playoff leverage.
