EUGENE, Ore. Air Max 97 Off White Blanche Pas Cher . -- Marcus Mariota is more concerned about his Oregon teammates than he is about his knee. "They would have to pull me off the field before I wouldnt play," the sophomore quarterback said after throwing for 288 yards and three touchdowns in a 44-21 victory over Utah on Saturday. Questions remain about the health of Mariotas left knee, which limited his mobility last week when the sixth-ranked Ducks fell 26-20 to Stanford. Oregon does not discuss injuries, so its something of a mystery. Known for his scrambling ability, Mariota wore a knee brace against both the Cardinal and the Utes and finished both games with negative yardage on the ground. Utah sacked him three times, but any shortcomings didnt matter in the end against the Utes. Even with the threat of making the injury worse, Mariota says hes still playing for his team. It was important to him that the Ducks rebound decisively from the loss to Stanford -- which in all likelihood ended Oregons shot at a spot in the national championship game. "The guys in the locker room mean the world to me," he said. And as for the knee? "Ive learned to play with it. Im not going to use it as an excuse," he said. DeAnthony Thomas caught a touchdown pass and scored on an 86-yard kickoff return for the Ducks (9-1, 6-1 Pac-12). Byron Marshall ran for two additional scores but the Ducks were slowed on the ground by Utahs defence, rushing for 145 yards after averaging nearly 302 yards a game this season. Utah (4-6, 1-6) was dealt a blow before the game when starting quarterback Travis Wilson didnt make the trip to Eugene because of a concussion. Backup Adam Schulz threw for 157 yards and a touchdown and ran for another. After the game, Utes coach Kyle Whittingham suggested that more is going on with Wilson but he would not give details. Utah did not announce until Friday night that Wilson was not travelling with the team. "Ill expound on that Monday when I know more information. This has been an ongoing thing throughout the week. What I can say is its a head injury. He was not able to practice at all last week. Part of it was something that happened in the game last week, but theres more than that going on right now. Rather than say something that is not completely accurate, Im going to wait until Monday and talk a little more about it that week," Whittingham said. Wilson is averaging 203 yards passing per game this season. The 6-foot-7 sophomore thrown 16 touchdowns with 16 interceptions. Schulz had appeared in just three games for the Utes this season, completing 22 of 45 passes with one touchdown and one interception. "Ive been looking for an opportunity since Ive been here. I always talk about seizing the opportunity and there is no bigger stage really than Oregon at their place. I was ready to go," Schulz said. Utahs lone conference win this season came against Stanford. The Utes have lost four straight since then. Mariota hit Thomas with an 8-yard touchdown pass and the Ducks added a 31-yard field goal by true freshman Matt Wogan to make it 10-0 in the first quarter. Wogan took over as Oregons kicker for the final three games of the season, replacing Alejandro Maldonado, who missed a 37-yard field goal before halftime of the Ducks game against UCLA. The Utes narrowed the gap on Schulzs 34-yard pass to Jake Murphy with 2:52 left in the half. Murphy was making his return after wrist surgery following the Utes Oct. 3 loss to UCLA. It was thought that the junior tight end might miss the rest of the regular season. The Ducks answered the Utes quickly by scoring on Mariotas 5-yard pass to Josh Huff -- concluding a drive that took three plays and just 24 seconds -- to make it 17-7 at the half. After a 4-yard scoring run from Schulz, Oregon again quickly came back with Thomas touchdown on the kickoff return to make it 23-14. Thomas, who missed nearly four entire games with an ankle injury, looked like his old self on the run. "Im getting back to where I was: Just out there, having fun, contributing to the team," he said. The Ducks extended the lead on Mariotas 14-yard scoring pass to Johnny Mundt, and Marshalls 17-yard scoring run made it 37-14 with 32 seconds left in the third quarter. Marshall added a 16-yard touchdown run in the fourth. Soon thereafter, Oregon sat Mariota. With most of the Ducks starters out of the game, Bubba Poole ran for a 10-yard Utah touchdown with 6:01 left. Still a Heisman candidate despite the questions about his knee, Mariota has thrown for 25 touchdowns this season, and run for nine more. He has not thrown an interception since last season. Saturdays game was the first between the teams since Utah joined the conference in 2011. Oregon won the last meeting 31-24 at Autzen Stadium in 2009. Air Max 270 React France . Miikka Kiprusoff had just announced his retirement after a decade-long run in Calgary and it would be up to Berra and Ramo to fill the void. It was a tall order and the Flames struggled at the start of the season. But there finally appear to be signs that the team may be ready to turn things around. Berra and Ramo have helped Calgary to a 5-4-2 record in its last 11 games, with three losses coming in close games against league heavyweights Pittsburgh and Boston. Berra entered the holiday break on a high after helping the Flames to a 4-3 shootout win Monday over the surging St. Louis Blues. He made 32 saves and stopped all three shots in the shootout to improve to 5-8-2 on the season. Berra is also a perfect 3-0 in shootouts, an area in which Kiprusoff historically struggled (23-37). "Overall Im happy with where I am," he said. "For my first year over here, Ive played solid, Ive played calm and Ive played my game. "I want to have more wins but sometimes you cant control that." Once described by former Flames general manager Jay Feaster as the “best goaltenders not playing in the NHL,” Berra and Ramo are still adjusting to the league since coming over from Europe. The ice surface is smaller and there is more traffic in front of the net. "One thing Ive been working on is trying to track the puck and follow it with my body," said Berra. "Also, guys here shoot perfect shots so you cant just go down and hope it hits you, you have to read the shot. Thats a big part of where Im way better than at the start of the season. "I can read the shots and where theyre coming." Ramo, who spent the last four seasons in the KHL, is more familiar with the North American game than his teammate. The 27-year-old native of Asikkala, Finland spent three seasons in the Tampa Bay organization after being selected by the Lightning in the sixth round of the 2004 entry draft. "Im trying to be quicker with my positioning so I can get set and see more pucks," said Ramo. "If you can play a little bit more outside the crease and still be quick, thats always better. Berra, a 26-year-old native of Bulach, Switzerland, said he has also noticed a big difference in the number of blocked shots. One of the trademarks of the Flames blue-collar style of play, Calgary has blocked 688 shots this season, second only to Montreal (725). Vapormax Noir Pas Cher Chinois. Individually, defencemen Kris Russell (105), Chris Butler (100) and Ladislav Smid (83) all rank in the top 10. "I think the guys would jump face first into shots, they have so much commitment to the Flames," Berra said with a laugh. "They play like a goalie. Sometimes if theres not many shots, its hard to get into the game and Ill be thinking, Hey, let it through, I want to save something too." Flames coach Bob Hartley has been pleased with how his two goaltenders have improved. "Very happy with their progression," Hartley said. "Theyre two great guys. They want to learn, they want to contribute to the team success. They get along great together. Were trying to give them streaks where if they play well, we ride them." Berra started 11 of 12 games in one stretch, starting with a spectacular 42-save win in his NHL debut in Chicago. Lately its been Ramos turn, as he has started eight of the last 12 and is playing his finest hockey of the year. Hes gone 4-2-2 in that span with a 2.06 goals-against average and .925 save percentage. On the season, Ramo is 6-6-3 with a 2.79 GAA and a .904 save percentage. He attended Finlands Olympic orientation in July, but thinks there is little chance hell be in Sochi this February given the countrys depth at the goaltending position. Its unclear if Nashville netminder Pekka Rinne will be ready for the Games as hes still recovering from a hip infection. However, Finland is still loaded with other options, including Bostons Tuukka Rask, San Joses Antti Niemi and Kari Lehtonen of Dallas. "With Finland and the goalies, pretty easy decisions for the people who are selecting," said Ramo. "Theyve been well known for so long in Finland and played in the NHL for so long and have been so good." Its a different scenario for Berra. After a strong showing last May at the world championships, he fully expects to be in the mix on the Swiss team. "For sure," Berra said. "Plus Ive made my next step personally by now playing in the NHL." The Flames, who sit 11 points out of a playoff spot in the Western Conference, return to action Friday against the visiting Edmonton Oilers. ' ' '
