New York, NY - Alabama, Florida State and Ohio State -- the lone unbeaten teams from power conferences -- are the top three teams in the latest Associated Press college football poll. Baylor had been a member of that club before a 49-17 pasting at the hands of Oklahoma State on Saturday. Alabama, as it has been all season, resides at the top. The Crimson Tide, after a 49-0 romp over Chattanooga on Saturday, received 56 first-place votes -- one more than last week -- and a total of 1,496 points from a nationwide media panel. Florida State lost one No. 1 tally from last week, but held firmly at No. 2 with four first-place votes. The Seminoles also had it easy this week with an 80-14 pounding of Idaho and will close the regular season next Saturday against a floundering Florida team before the ACC title game on Dec. 7. Ohio State, which still hasnt lost under Urban Meyer, moved up one spot to third after Baylors loss. The Buckeyes were 42-14 winners over Indiana on Saturday and will face arch-rival Michigan next Saturday in the Big House before facing Michigan State for the Big Ten title. Auburn, meanwhile, moved up two spots to fourth, setting up next Saturdays showdown with Alabama in the annual Iron Bowl. In addition to it being a huge rivalry, the winner at Jordan-Hare Stadium will also advance to the SEC Championship Game. Missouri is also in line for a berth in the SEC title game as winner of the East Division, if the Tigers can beat Texas A&M next Saturday. Missouri moved up three spots from eighth to fifth. Clemson, Oklahoma State, Stanford, Baylor and South Carolina complete this weeks top 10. Oklahoma State vaulted four spots from 11th after its resounding win over Baylor, while Stanford moved up two spots from 10th after a 63-13 thumping of arch-rival Cal gave the Cardinal a berth in the Pac-12 title game. The second 10 consists of Michigan State, Oregon, Arizona State, Wisconsin, LSU, Fresno State, UCF, Northern Illinois, Texas A&M and Oklahoma. Oregon tumbled seven spots from fifth after a stunning loss at Arizona, while Arizona State, which claimed the Pac-12 South title with a 38-33 win over UCLA, rose six places from 19th and Texas A&M dipped 10 spots from ninth after its 34-10 loss at LSU. Fresno State and Northern Illinois are the other unbeaten teams left in major college football. The Bulldogs actually dropped a spot from 15th, while the Huskies moved up two from 20th. Both are still vying for a BCS bowl berth. Louisville, UCLA, Southern California, Duke and Notre Dame are the last five teams ranked this week. UCLA dropped eight spots from 14th after its home loss to the Sun Devils. Notre Dame is the lone newcomer, replacing Ole Miss. The Fighting Irish are ranked for a third different time this year and are back after a two-week absence. The Rebels, ranked for four weeks in September, had just a one-week stay this time around at No. 24 after falling to Missouri on Saturday.
