DENVER -- The Colorado Rockies have recalled right-hander Rob Scahill from Triple-A Colorado Springs. Scahill is available to pitch out of the bullpen in Sundays game against the Milwaukee Brewers. The Rockies also returned righty Wilton Lopez to the Sky Sox. This is the first call-up this season for Scahill, who was 1-1 with a 3.93 ERA in 24 appearances with the Sky Sox. In 29 major league games, all with Colorado, Scahill is 1-0 with a 4.29 ERA. Lopez had an 11.37 ERA in four games with the Rockies this season before he was designated for assignment June 9. Fox was transported via ambulance to a Charlotte-area hospital from the golf course, the Broncos said. The team didnt release details of Foxs condition but FoxSports.com reported he would have a procedure on his aortic valve Tuesday in North Carolina. Fox will remain in the state for two weeks and miss a month to six weeks of the season, according to the report. FoxSports.coms NFL reporter Jay Glazer said he spoke with Fox, who said he was scheduled to have the procedure in the offseason but held off. Fox said his condition deteriorated faster than expected. Fox hadnt yet determined who would take over as acting head coach, according to the report.
